The Crow and the Pitcher, fused and sandcarved, 18x18"

It was the middle of a hot summer when all the creatures were looking for water to drink.

The crow spotted a pitcher that someone had left near a garden.  There was some water in it but the crow couldn’t stretch down inside it far enough to get a drink.  After pondering the situation she began to gather stones and drop them one at a time into the pitcher.  Gradually the water level rose to a point where this clever and hard working bird was rewarded with a long draught of refreshing water.
